I remember summer days,
stretched out as
wires between telephone poles - long.
With heat creating pools of smog
just above the horizon.
And I remember you,
against a distant sky,
your skin damp with sweat
as we talked on the back porch,
words buzzing through wires.
stretched out as
wires between telephone poles - long.
With heat creating pools of smog
just above the horizon.
And I remember you,
against a distant sky,
your skin damp with sweat
as we talked on the back porch,
words buzzing through wires.
